1. recognize that your brain is unique
your brain is special on its own way and no two brains are alike. some person learn better using visual, some with audio enhancement.thus, you should focus on your brain's preference by taking the readily available learning style tests.
2. challenging your brain
learning too slow and too low will only shut your brain down as it enters the drone zone. in contrast, if we are struggling and we get frustrated, the brain enter the groan zone. however, facing this challenge and creating solution will stretch your brain and making it flow - the wonderful feeling that we get when we accomplish something. thus, find the right level of challenge in what you are learning and train your brain to rise up to challenge. you will only get cleaverer.
3. recognize your brain as physical organ
your brain is directly affected by your physical condition and surroundings, so pay attention to lighting, temperature, sitting position, energy level, air quality, time of day what you are eating and drinking. thus, you should take a note of what make your study session fruitful. it could be your neat room, the silence in the library or even the nuts that you chew while doing your math. adjust things to suit you
4. deal with your emotion
as emotion are one of the things that the brain handle, it can strengthen and also undermine learning. use your anger, anxiety fear etc to boost your learning. visualize yourself as the master of the subject and imagine how your success would feel like. on the other hand, recognize emotion that hinder your learning and try to deal with them, turning them into challenge to make you strive...
