career guidance in the school

salam.. counselor plays an important roles in school to make teaching and learning process be successful. he/she will help student become a better person in otherwise, will helps teacher to find out a way for teaching effectively. counselor can used Career Development Program such as establish need.. then it can be delivered by classroom or taught as a unit within a class subject. sometimes it can be done by parents at home. in Canada, thy used 'taking our children to work program' where parents bring along their child to work place. so they can see what the real happening in that place. they will gain real knowledge about jobs. it is a good program that give children a sense of self-efficacy. this program also should be introduce in Malaysia education.
