Finally I got my chance to joint in this blog together to contribute something. The first lesson that I got from this course is the different term between career, profession, job, and work. From what I’ve understood is career bring a deep meant for everyone. It’s about a type of work that you do or hope to do most of your life. Profession bring a meaning that a work that you have been trained for and intend to do for several years. Job brings the different meaning from the other. Job is that you do because you have a very strong feeling that doing this job is the purpose of your life and especially because you want to help other people. From all these stuff, I realize that the career is something that too important in someone life. There are someone said that choosing career is mostly like once in a lifetime.

Anyhow, I’m not really sure about the statement that choosing career is mostly like once in a lifetime. This is because, nowadays, someone will not be an accountant for the whole of his life, or a teacher can be a businessman before retired. Someone career may change in order to get the satisfaction and get more salary from the career he did.

However, market of employment nowadays may differ from the 10 years ago. Our graduated students are always facing the same problem which is still unemployed after graduate. Who have to responsible for this problem? We don’t have to blame anyone because there are so many facts that contribute to this problem. What we should do is to train and give an exploration to our school student about the career and how to strive their ambition. This is the purpose of Career Development course that compulsory for us as the beginner counsellor to learn.
