School to work?

I agree if this program is designed and fully been developed in Malaysia education system because it will help all students get ready for the next step after secondary school, whether they plan to go to technical field, science field, college or university, or directly into the workforce.
For me, I think this program is excellent because it helps students make the connection between the classroom and the world of work. It helps them understand the relationship between learning and earning. Throughout this program, they learn about careers, selecting challenging courses, choosing work experiences which all these will better prepare them for life after graduating from school whether they choose additional education and training or go right into the workforce. The majority of good paying jobs also will require education beyond secondary school. Students often don't know enough about what these jobs are, where they will be located or the skills they will require. They need to learn about the skills and knowledge needed for the jobs of the future and that's will lead them where they want to go. Therefore, by developing this program in our education system, it will help the school to provide an excellent informed and considered career decision to the student. This program also will provide career exploration and guidance to help students select courses for a smoother and more productive transition. Throughout all those experiences such as being exposing by hands-on technology, critical thinking skills and real-life applications in school-to-work program that are combined with both academic and technical courses, it might definitely help students make the connection between school and the real world. But, the problem here is whether our education system is allert about this beneficial or are they are successfully achieving it or still work on it? if it's not, it is our duty as future school counselor to bring it on...
